Are iPhones An AT&T Scapegoat?
The difference between average monthly data usage on AT&T (~25 MB) and Sprint (~55 MB) is shocking, given the propensity for many people, myself included, to assume that AT&T’s network woes were compounded by the number of iPhone users, and how intense their data usage was. The accuracy of this has to be questioned, but I’d love to see data that gives average data usage on a per-smartphone basis. To give one anecdotal data point, I’ve used around 61 megabytes on my Sprint smartphone so far this billing cycle, which ends in two days, and ~635 megabytes over my phone’s lifetime (##786# gives lifetime data on most Sprint smartphones). Any iPhone users care to chime in here?
