Yeah. This got way out of hand. The GOP preemptively attacked the address without any notion that propoganda was going to be spread. I about got sick watching Fox News’ comments on it (mom always has it on in the house).
Especially when multiple republican presidents have done it and used it as a platform before. However, the democrats aren’t completely free and clear either, because they were claiming propaganda when it was done by republicans in the past, though they may have complained AFTER the address.
All of this bitching before the address has even happened is inane. Especially since now the speech will be posted online for review. I respect the decision to make the speech public before it happens and the fact that they’ve allowed people to opt-out (even though it’s really silly at this point).
As correct as it is sad. And this is coming from someone who leans right. Did I just admit that online? Damn, there goes my intellectual card…
