I don’t call myself a republican… and now I never will.

Blocking net neutrality? You just made me absolutely sure that I’m an independent.

It seems that I dislike many things on both sides, Democrat and Republican.

Most of the counter-arguments provided here don’t stand up to the need for new regulations.

I don’t think this means that traffic can’t be shaped, but it does depend on how the regulations are implemented.

The argument that bandwidth is scarce is bullshit, especially when not talking about wireless companies. DSL and cable companies have plenty of bandwidth and are spewing bullshit whenever they say they “need to throttle bittorrent”, etc to help with bandwidth.

We need unlimited, neutral internet provided at the promised speeds. Everything has been fine. Companies have started to throttle connections for no reason.

They give you a 3mbps line, but if you start actually using the full amount of your allowed bandwidth that you are PAYING FOR they start complaining. Unbelievable. Don’t give me 3mbps if you don’t want me to use it all. Dumbshits.

It’s amazing that for a country where so much is advertised as “unlimited,” so many limits actually apply, simply because said limits help line the pockets of shareholders at the expense of the customers who line those pockets.
