Well done Thawte, well done. I’m sorry to see them discontinuing their personal e-mail certificate service (which was free for a basic certificate, by the way), but I’m very happy to see the way they’re handling it, even giving their users a free certificate from VeriSign, despite VeriSign being one of their competitors. If nothing else, this proves to me that some companies—Apple, and now Thawte, in my experience—still know what “goodwill” means.
