Smartphone LED Message Indicators
Has anyone else noticed that most smartphones are lacking any kind of LED indicator for voicemails, text messages, and/or e-mails? I can’t be the only person in the world terribly annoyed by this. As far as I know, most (if not all) BlackBerries have LEDs for this very purpose, but most other smartphones seem to be lacking this measly little feature. My Q9c does not. The iPhone does not. The Pre has a LED indicator, but support for it in software seems iffy, from what little I’ve read.
For manufacturers, this is such a small little thing that is inexcusable to forget. For something so minor, it makes me surprisingly insane to have to press a button and read over the home screen for a second just to see if I have any new messages. My dumb phones all had this one cent feature, so why can’t more smartphones?
