I’ve Joined A Team
I’m a proud member of Team “I Don’t Give A Shit.” I don’t care about “Coco” or Leno, because honestly, neither of them are that funny. Plus, I have to deduct points from Conan because anyone with that kind of money who continues to drive an old Taurus SHO has got to be just as insane as his hair would suggest.
Seriously though, I don’t get all the complaining about this whole situation. All of a sudden, Conan’s ratings jump up because his “fans” materialize out of nowhere. So you weren’t watching his show on a regular basis before he was getting canned, but now that he’s got one foot out the door, you’re watching it on a religious basis? Please. Though I’m sure you’ll be watching him every night on Fox, or wherever else he happens to end up…
If you want late-night comedy, the Daily Show and the Colbert Report are far better than the Tonight Show has been through most of my lifetime. Otherwise, just let Conan go write the occasionally funny joke for someone else, and let Leno go work on some more awesome cars (like his Oldsmobile Toronado with Corvette underpinnings).
